About
Joshua Michael Schwartz is a Boston-based painter working primarily in large-scale acrylic on canvas. His practice combines intuitive gesture, repeated figures, saturated color, and sustained editing to build psychological abstraction with formal control.
The work is developed as psychological hieroglyphics: a visual language where marks function as record, architecture, and pressure system. The paintings aim for durability — work that sustains attention and rewards repeated looking.
